I am an IT professional with strong expertise in web hosting, server administration, and technical support, having worked with leading companies such as Newfold Digital. My experience spans across cPanel/WHM management, Apache/Nginx server configurations, reverse proxy setups, DNS and CDN integrations, SMTP troubleshooting, and email server management (Exim, Postfix). I have hands-on experience with monitoring and visualisation tools, such as Grafana, where I successfully integrated Apache logs and created meaningful dashboards to track performance. My background also includes working with WordPress hosting environments, managing plugins, performance tuning, and debugging issues ranging from SSL/CDN errors to PHP conflicts.
Beyond my professional career, I am deeply passionate about self-hosting and open-source technologies. I manage and maintain my own Nextcloud instance for file management and Bitwarden for secure password management, both of which are fully self-hosted and optimised for security and performance. I actively explore Linux server administration (primarily Ubuntu), setting up services such as PrivateGPT for local AI, and experimenting with reverse proxies, ModSecurity firewall rules, and monitoring stacks. I also take great interest in networking concepts, log analysis, and automation scripts to streamline repetitive server tasks.
Outside of work, my IT hobbies fuel my growth. I enjoy testing new hosting platforms, integrating APIs, and experimenting with CDN setups, such as BunnyCDN and QUIC.cloud. I regularly troubleshoot real-world issues on my personal domains, including SMTP relay setups (such as SMTP2Go), live Apache log analysis, and security hardening techniques. I also stay up-to-date with certifications and cloud technologies, and continually refine my skills in troubleshooting, customer service, and providing end-to-end hosting support. This mix of professional expertise and personal passion projects ensures I stay current, hands-on, and innovative in my approach to technology.
